Daily Driven Evo VII success stories?
I have a daily driver (ie peice of ****) that I am hoping will last until I pay my Evo VII off in September. I am contemplating buying another daily driver for around 4-5K. Recently, I have thought about just driving my Evo every day to work. It has just under 30K right now and I drive about 70 miles to work a day. I'd save the money, invest it, and use the cash to rebuild the motor in the future to handle a GT35R and meth. My question is, how will the rest of the car hold up with 100K on the clock. Does anyone have a daily driven Evo VIIIs with high mileage? How is the reliability?

Evo VII?
My father has a 2g Eclipse GSX. Extreme well maintained, never abused (not babied either), and he saw 190k+ before he decided to get a stage3 6 bolt from Buschur. The car still ran 100% before he got the 6bolt motor. The rest of the car has held up VERY well. The only noticable wear on the car is some chipped clear coat on the mirros due to age...
Moral of the story, As long as you treat it with respect and maintain the car, it should last year VERY long.
Good luck

I had over 70k on my 2003 Evo 8-not 100K, but it was really holding together well. I really think these cars will hold together well if they are maintained properly. I sold my 8 only to get a 9 whihc has 42K on it currently and no problems.
I never want to sell my 9 (Maybe for a GTR but that is a different story) so I expect to have 200K plus on this baby before I die.

well i think i've got y'all all beat on the DD EVO mileage... my 06 EVO IX MR has about 63k miles on the clock right now. i recently accepted a job that's about 170 miles away, and have to drive back and forth until i get my house sold and move. as a daily driver it's been great (except for the gas mileage). the car is still holding up fine. other than a random missfire code here and there, i've had no trouble with the car at all.

I have 98K on my VIII. Daily driven 80+ miles a day round trip. Still on the Stock Clutch
. If you treat it right, it should last a while. I plan to drive the wheels off mine.
