new to the evo but seems slow

to me this is a simple fix. You said that you had a svt focus. Hop in that for a day or two, and then the evo will be fast as h e l l all over again. Then mod a little and its even faster.

well i took the car to a dealership and had them check for a boost leak and they came up with nothing and told me i was parenoid lol they also said i should buy a evox

just start seraching and reading on the proper path to mod, spend your money wisely and you'll be more then happy soon enough. its a very funny thing to read about how 400+whp is just "meh" around here and even 500's are becoming very common lol there is plenty of "fast" in your car, give it time

The car stock isn't much to talk about in a straight line, but what it does come with is pretty good handling in a variety of road conditions and a strong affinity for hp modifications. If the car isn't powerful enough for you a few simple and relatively cheap mods will give you a huge boost in power.

If u mod it u will fell the difference. i drove a stock 9 the other day and dam i fell the difference with my moded 8

get a 9 turbo, some cams, 680cc or bigger injectors and a walbro. Tune it, and you'll be just fine

Your gonna have problems with Porsche's, M3's and such on the highway, thats not where these cars shine...

I would definitely do a compression test on it after doing a boost leak test.
