I know the thread was kinda stupid to start but...

I'm excited as hell about getting the Evo I wanted. However, I do enjoy reading the opinions of others just the same

On a side note, here is the KBB for this car in my area.

I wouldnt sweat it if you got the dough, exactly like you said... finding that car in the condition that you did is almost like finding a 20 carat diamond now. Welcome to 4wd madness. Dont forget to sign up for addiction therapy classes

Thats not bad OTD...

Heres how i see it.. over say 2,000.... If its in good shape and mechanically good, you got a good deal...

Sometimes if you go to get the cheapest deal you can find theyre just trying to move the car fast because it could have a number of costly issues coming up... mainly tranny and transfercase...

So if this one is mint like you say you saved 2k on a possible tranny rebuild and 1k on a tc rebuild...

I wouldnt sweat it too much cause youre about to dump a lot of money into it to keep up with the rest of us =-)

Nope.. I don't think you paid too much.

I'm hoping the VIII/IX are high demand cars. I, personally, would have a hard time trading mine in for $25k. I've put that much into the car.

Congrats on the purchase and know that the valu won't drop too much.

All that matters is that you’re happy. You already bought the car don’t worry what it cost, now you need to worry how much you have to spend on mods. Welcome to the EVO lifestyle.

Thats because you live in Texas and mustangs, camaro's, and vettes are the hot cars in your area. He lives in New England where awd cars are gold in the winter. I visit my buddy in Fort Worth twice a year and I have seen what roams the street of your state.

personally i think if you thoroughly checked the car and it is in great condition I don't mind paying a bit more. Anyway enjoy the car! Btw ES100 are not all weather tires. they are summer tires.

Haha.. he's got a good point. But, you could have found a IX MR for around that price. Just as long as you're happy bro, that Evo you bought was mad cheap in my book.

Congratulations on the White IX RS.

Don't sweat the price, you've got yourself a rare car that also happpens to be the most capable Evo ever brought to the U.S.

Take care of it

And I hope that you don't care about power windows/locks/mirrors
