def do what he said. other than that i would try to talk them down about $1k. at least you should be able to talk down $500. always worth the try.

I've talked them down 1k from 18,999 to 18k, but its a ridiculous apr of like 15%... I dont have much credit because most all of my purchases have been in cash, so i might need to ride out the higher payments for a few months and try to refinance it... I have no idea. Any suggestions? I talked to the dealer and evidently the paper he had me sign which i thought was to hold the car is evidently going to force me into getting it. Not that it would be all bad because the car is sweet, but the apr is rediculous. Anyone have anywhere that someone with not much credit can possibly get a loan for a lower apr than that?

That's what happens when you have no credit or bad credit. Not much you can do about it without a cosigner.

i dunno man if you only make 2000 a month you would be kinda strapped. Its a big jump, you should think about for at least a week after you drive it.

seriously, on that kind of income and that apr, it's a no brainer... If you have to ask yourself if you can afford it, then you cant. Evo is a sweet ride, but it's not worth strapping yourself or signing a contract on a car like that with such high mileage that you wouldn't be able to turn around and sell it if you realised that you couldn't afford your payments anymore. not to mention maintenance, and you have to use premium gas on it and fully synthetic oil changes every 3k miles. Im a salesman, if the dealership is asking 18.999 sticker, then they only payed the original owner around 15k. Im just being honest with you...

Regarless of whether you can afford it or not, the price isn't good. I'm going to get flamed but Evo's aren't moving right now. Dealerships are keeping these things 2,3, even more months before they sell them back to the auction at whole sale price. Just to let you know, wholesale on that car is about 15k. Add $500 to $1000 for transportation and auction fees and that's what the dealership is into it. If you paid 17k for the car, they should still be making $1000 and that before they start raping you with other "dealer fee" and crap like that. If you going to be paying over $400 a month for the car atleast find a lower mileage one. Good luck!!
