1. There is no such ticket for modified intake
2. Just swap back on your stock and say thats what was on there to begin with
3. if you don't have mounts for a front plate, you are no required to have one on the front!
Nothing even to worry about man. All of it will get written off and thrown out.

That is even worse than not having one at all, because then the cop knows that you know that there has to be one on the front of your car but you decided not to put it on. Just run a front plate and then you don't have to worry about being pulled over for stupid reasons like this.

If you live in CA, you should have known that police are strict about modifying cars. I don't live in CA and I know. And if you bought the car from dealer, they should take care of your motor vehicle work, and give you 2 plates. if not, then it's their fault.
If I live in CA I would just keep my car stock, that state has the worst grade gas that cost very high, the most strict emission standard, and the most strict cops.

I got pulled over 2 days ago and the first thing cop did after she gets out of the car was to see if
I have license plate in the front. Do yourself a favor, don't give them a excuse to give you a ticket.

Front plate is one thing the police seldom notice in California. I have had six cars in 18 years with no front plate -- only one ticket, years ago. Then again, if you're rolling with a big wing, loud exhaust and aftermarket intake, not to mention Driving While Young :O ... they may look for every last violation.
