Repair/Repaint Evo 9 SE Front Lip
i scratched up my Evo 9 SE front lip pretty bad today. i already had some minor scratches on the underside before, but this time it scratched the front of the lip. i was going SO slow too! right after i scratched the front of the lip i was pissed and as i pulled into the parking spot i hit the curb too! that threw me over the edge! i figured i would just try to sand the front lip down and have it repainted. i'm pretty sure i could do the sanding myself, but i might have it repainted by someone else. does anybody have any tips on how to sand it down? what grit(s) should i use? should i just focus sanding on the damaged parts or should i sand everything down evenly? thanks!

Seriously... You might as well just not worry about it. I hit my lip all the time. I actually need a new one, so I do plan on getting my front bumper repainted and replace the front lip with a CF one. Ill just use the busted one for DD'ing it and whenever I go to shows (if it gets in show quality) ill put the CF one on.
If you really just want to attempt it do like mentioned above. Fill it in with bondo and start sanding it down evenly.

Make sure you sand it with 80 grit before you put the Bondo on. If the scratches are not too deep you can just sand them out & primer it. If you Bondo it Use 80 grit to get it close & finish sanding with 220 grit before priming. Take your time & run your hand over it to make sure it is smooth durring the sanding process.

My front lip has already taken a beating from a parking curb and from daily driving. The scratches don't bother me, but a huge spot I sanded down and used that Mitsubishi pen with paint on one end and clearcoat on the other.
