400-payment
150-insurance
10-oil change ($30 every 2-3 months)
100-tires ( new summer tires every year)
50-gas
5,000- the amount of time(hr/wage) i spend looking at every single part inside and out to make sure its in tip top shape, hahahhah
$0.00- girls are free. they love the evo. hahahha
the real question is what is the cost if you dont own an evo

well the thing that keeps my eyes on doing this deal is that i found it to be such a good deal. The rest of 06 evos in california are around 29,995$ before taxes with 13k miles or less. 06 evos that cost 24,995 usually have over 25,000 miles after i did my research, which makes this one look like sucha good deal. do you think its a good deal?(06 ix 12k miles 24,995$/400$ a month) insurance will only be $90 since its under my dad. With my parttime job, i will only have about 350$ left over after the car note and insurance(this is the only reason that gives me a bad gut feeling about the deal). i look at it as the more time that passes with me not building major credit (like a car loan, cuz i already paid off a few credit cards but it doesnt up your score as much as a car loan) im only hurting my self cuz one day ima need the credit, but i would rather pay monthly for the car ive always wanted and build my credit at the same time rather than paying for a car i dont want cuz the evo is the ONLY car i desire... idk im just rambling
i really appreciate the input

Go for it, man.
I'm a big believer in not settling for anything you don't want.
I don't have an Evo yet, but it's the only car I want aswell. I can afford an Evo IX but I'm big on modding things, and I don't want most of my income to go on this car. So I'm just going to get a VIII and mod the sh*t out of it. Plus I'm also getting another bike.

Wow, 24,995 for a 2006 Evo IX with only 12k? That sounds like a good deal...
I bought my 06 IX last December with 22k on it. How good/ bad is your credit?Don't forget to take into account APR. Mine was 7.8%.
I got 5k for my 04 Lancer ES trade-in + 2k down.
-I pay 490 monthly for 4 years
-Gas is about 150 monthly. Depending how you drive. (I try to shift at 15,25,35,45 etc)
-I'm paying about 130.00 a month for full coverage
I was in your shoes for the last 2 years (minus the student part). I say if you really want it and CAN afford it. GO get it. You will not regret it!

car payment- $250
car insurance - $150
gas - $150 (depends on how much I drive)
all in all about $550/month plus whatever mods I decide to buy.
I am a full time student and have a great paying part time job, so it is possible to do, but you have to learn to budget. I'd say go for it! You only live once!

370- monthly payment which I over pay to 430 a month
80 a month on insurance full coverage
200 month for gas in the winter - 50 in the summer
All maintenance I do myself so I would say maybe 100 for that

Car payment = $298 p/m (20K down)
Ins. = $121 p/m (over 30, 1 speeding ticket in last 3 years)
Gas = $100 p/m
Car-related stuff = $100 or so p/m
Total = $619
Not too bad. Expenses will go way up after about a year when I have over 15,000 miles and start modding

Gas = 350.00
Maint.= 50.00
Total = 1,076.00 per month
is a '03 with 127,500 miles on it. Still going strong with no problems from the tranny or engine. Cams are next month. Has been modded since 55,000 miles.

I would agree about a 1k a month.
I paid cash for mine and every now and then this car requires attention, and don't forget these cars are unique and if something brakes you have no car for a while (for me it turns out a week with no car). Thats not a problem for me I have another car that is my DD. But for somebody who has a part time job and this would a DD I would say stay away from Evo its too pricey to keep up with it
