On the market now for a IX Mr called to get an insurance quote recently... Shocked to find out i'd be paying only 150 a month (Btw I'm 20, 1 speeding ticket 2 years ago) Does this sound about right or is something wrong? I keep telling myself its too good to be true, I've been calculating how much I'd have to put aside for car note and insurance and so far I've set aside at least 400 bucks a month. So to hear 150 is a complete shocker...

well i do DD the evo and i do drive a lot and it does get very $$$

the fact is the evo gets crap for gam millage. my over all average is 17mpg=$20 per 100 miles

gas $400 per month
tires at least $50-100 per month
brake pads $200 per 20,000 miles
oil $35.00 per 3,000 miles
tranny/tcase/diff oil $50 per 10,000 miles
full coverage insurance is under my moms name to save $$ come out to be $1700 a year

gas is the real killer with the evo. tires are only expensive because i choose to run stock advans. with some normal all seasons for the street tires would be cheep. maintenance and mods i do all myself and the car is payed for in full.

so with no car payment. just gas, maintnence and insurance the cost of driving the evo is about $500-600 a month minium. i also buy mods all the time so in realiaty its probably way more than that
