When I see Evo's whether it be online, or just out on the street, they're usually silver, white or red. Yellow is obnoxious IMO, and doesn't look good on anything.
Black, I think, never gets old.

I ride a YELLOW Ducati 999.
Yellow means you want to be seen/noticed
Yellow means you are not afraid to attract attention to yourself.
Have the nuts to do what you want. Why do you give a flip about what someone else thinks? Conformist? Afraid? Schedule a psychiatrist visit.

Ewww, a yellow evo is indeed ugly. It looks like a cheap ***** ready for abuse. Sorry. An electric blue evo is nothing to miss out on, it makes the evo look like a ricer. Especially the new evo x blue that ****in color is hideous and gay looking at the same time. Eww, it sends a tingle down my spine, when I think about it.
Off topic but whats wrong with electric blue......***

Yellow paint is hard to take care of. I can't use paste wax on it since the paint comes OFF on the rag... I have it professionally buffed each year and just use spray wax in between.
Otherwise, I love the yellow. my 2nd favorite is electric blue (on the IX), not a BBY fan.
My stock looking evo:

I drive a yellow Lancer. Not really a cool looking car but apparently I thought so back in high school. I never had trouble attracting unwanted attention, but then again it's a Lancer...
Notice how everyone is saying, "Personally, I like cars that are (insert color here)." Just go with the color you (or your cousin in this case) personally likes the best. You say your cousin wants to buy a yellow Evo, so he should buy a yellow Evo. Just my 2.
As for the color fading, my yellow paint is just as rich in color as it was the day I got it. Be happy Mitsubishi has a decent looking yellow, unlike that pale crap Subaru and Hyundai have

colors fine, attention is not!
you'll be suprised how many people know "the kid with the yellow evo" or how many cops will remmeber you.
i guess it depends on your age & location though

ahh yes even some evo owners are "hatin" on the yellow evo's ....typical. Yellow's tend to get a bad rap and and attract attention. If you dont want attention dont buy it simple as that. I love mine and the LY's look so good with a set of black or blue rims..yes blue (evotagger's old evo...hawt!) Get a set of coilovers, black rims, cf lip, cf trunk no wing and that to me... looks pimp!
