whats wrong with my baby

hey everyone...i had jus ordered a fidanza clutch cause i thought my clutch was goin out...whenever id hit 3 grand or when i hit boost it would happen....i took my car yesterday to my mechanic and he tested the transmission he said everything was fine and yes i still do have the stock clutch...what could it be a boost leak..note i have a boost controller test pipe and kandn air filter....any help would be appreciated..thank you

be more specific on what happen once you hit 3 grand or boost?????

seems jus as i hit boost right at 2800rpm

Well what happens?. . .
It cuts out, loses power. . We need more details.

symptoms of a failing clutch are simple. At usually higher gears under heavy load your motor starts reving quickly and you car doesn't accelerate. IE you get to 6000 RPMS in top gear and are able to maintain 60 miles an hour. That would mean you clutch is most likely slipping, but there can be a couple other causes. When a clutch gets really bad you can complete release it and hold the brakes without the car stalling. I have seen some really burnt clutches. but Just be cause the car doesn't go doesn't mean that your clutch is bad. suspect a faulty clutch as one of the last things.

im sorry the rpms do jump it will start at about 3 grand then jump to 4 grand and the car will lose power

thats better, for a minute there i thought i got ahold of some bad weed! ha ha . sounds like symptoms of clutch slipping.

ya but it doesnt smell like clutch burning at all...and what may be disconnected?
