Debadging the Evo

Whatever you do, just don't take off the front Mitsubishi emblem. No disrespect to the guys who've done it, but on the factory bumper it looks so plain without it.

I just ordered a new "Evolution" badge from the X...thought about stripping the black UK badge off and putting it on the rear, but I think I am just going to put it on the dash....I like the looks of it...its either gonna be on the dash or on the plug wire cover; I am going to paintit black though

IMO I think de badging makes everything look smoother and less cluttered. But fortunately everyone is different so everyone doesnt drive around with the same looking car.... even if its as little as one saying evolution VIII and the other doesnt. lol

yeah de-badged my car at first on a WW ix but then got the uk evolution ix emblem and now I love it. I still loveeee the clean look of the car de-badged but sometimes its nice to get a thumbs up when people see you have a evolution. A lot of people out there thought I was driving around a lancer with the evo wing.

I think the difference between an Evo and a Lancer with an Evo wing is still painfully obvious to the point where most girls who don't know much about cars would know it. The badge is the last thing that would authenticate an Evo, as it's easier to put on any Lancer than an actual wing.

^+1 Tru dat yo....
I went badge-less for a while after I got mine, but I really liked the UK badge in black, and went with it, since I am aiming for a blacked out look. I want to have the "triangle" shaved out of the front bumper, then I wont have that "badge" there anymore either.
If someone thinks you drive a lancer, just pat em on the shoulder, tell them it will be ok, and walk away
