335i coupe (fully loaded awd for 48K - priced it at the dealership!) or a lightly used corvette imo...the new e92 m3's START at 57K so thats way outta the question.

or if you want luxury but not necessarily too fast, i'd look into a g37 (~42K) or a IS250/350.

A) STARTS at 57K, out of his price range
B) a 335ci with an exhaust and chip would beat an e92 m3 costing 12K more...

 

Hell with 50K, you can trade up to a vette and have 10K+ to spend on mods
