Ive been smoking for 6 years. Just quit 7 days ago. Im using the generic nicorette gum. Its working great.
Pick up some of the gum. Your body is still going to be craving the nicotine. After 4 or 5 days of not going through the cig to mouth motion, you forget about it. Then you just need to taper off the gum, and start using trident.

By the way, after a week your sense of smell is going to freak you out. It comes alive!!

Im just getting over being sick...and as im "feeling" better in general...my throat just never gets better. Its so bad that today i actually went the whole day without a cig and yesterday i only had 3...i told myself if i can go this whole day with out one then im gonna try and quit and i didnt have one all day.
I know if i didn't smoke i would of gotten over this cold so much sooner and my throat would be fine right now.

i only smoke cigars about once every few months. Prolly not more than 5 a year...affraid of getting addicted to smoking because i hate it and makes ppl smell like sh*t. But i do it while outside at a BBQ and drinking some soda

wow, this could not have come at a better time for me. I have been trying to quite off and on for the past 2 years. i have a cannabis card and i am LEGALLY prescribed "medicine" however i recently (1 and a 1/2 months ago quit that completely cold turkey) since then i went from a half a pack of cigs to near 2. it sucks....
its been hell trying to quite smoking cigs now. i recently have tried to go cold turkey with the cigs and i literally have the worst nick-a-fits ever. the smallest things set me off beyond belief. punching wholes in the wall, breaking things, yelling, basically it feels like i'm on a mass amount of steroids and want to kill someone. it almost brings me to tears after one of these episodes. there bad.
Im going to see how long i can go without an episode then focus that energy into something a little more constructive (i like your sit up idea)
keep us posted and i am defenetly subscribed to this thread!

I get those feelings if I smoke or don't, listening to metal helps me get some energy out, working out helps replace the stress that smoking causes, so do a crap load of push ups and sit ups you'll be tired after a whole day of it. I know my arms hurt I must have done over a thousand yesterday. You can always go to a gym or buy a heavy bag and punch the **** of it. I got boxing gloves at walmart a few months ago for 20 bux and they're still holding up.
