- 5,000
----------
$25,000
25000 / 36 = 694.4444/month
800 - 694.4444 = $105.5555/month interest
total payment = $800.00/month
hmmm ... 36 months. is that with any markup on the car? or a pit pass? options?
edit: math :d

I was quoted slightly under $500 to lease it with no money down. I believe the terms were for 36 months but am not sure on that part. This was here in NJ at a DSM near Paramus. They even offered a test drive which I turned down, too much traffic outside and I did not want to wake up my son who was sleeping.

thanks for the input guys.. i dont know why but i just like the lease, i dont like keeping cars more the 3 years and moding can be done as long its reverseble , i leased my bmw and did like 20k in mods then returned it back to stock and sold the mods for a good part of the money, i did all the labor my self so that was free im suprised no one posted that actually leased, maybe the lease program is just off the wall? 800 a month is crazy for a 30000 dollar car. i paid 500 a month on a 43k car with 3 k down. this car should be in the mid 300s which would make it worth a lease. if over that then financing is the way to go.
thanks again
thanks again

There is no official leasing from Mitsubishi on the Evo.....unless they very recently started doing it.
Round Pro.
I think your dealership was feeding you a line. He quoted you some off the wall numbers so you would either go away, or choose normal financing.
Those numbers they gave you don't even work out. With those numbers, the 'leasing company' would be assuming that the car is going to be worth -$3,000 at the end of the lease term.... Thats right. You would be paying $33,800 over the course of the 36 months....including your downpayment. So in the end, you dealer was probably just giving you a quote for a 36 month car loan....on a slightly over MSRP priced Evo. I a lease, you are only supposed to be paying for the (projected) depreciation of the car over the time you own it.
So if the car is $30k new...and projected to be valued at $15k in 3 years....you should only be paying the equivalent of $15k over the 3 years you are signed onto the lease. So if thats the case, and you still put down $5k, you should be paying somewhere around $300 a month for your lease.
