If you owned an Audi you would better understand the importance of the correct volume passing through the filter.In the middle of the desert any filter would get you home but here where the correct one can be purchased it's a no brainer...

I use the Mobil 1 M1-104 filter.
Bigger than oem and fits perfectly..

On the left is the STP filter for the Evo, on the right the Dodge Stealth. As you can see the Dodge filter is a whole lot more filter. The Dodge (larger) filter has more filter media area and is the cheaper of the two. And, the Dodge filter fits the Evo. It does not hang down where it can be hit.

When the filter media gets plugged the bypass valve opens and unfiltered oil enters the engine. Which filter is that going to happen to first?

That is my pocket knife in the foreground.

Dang! good stuff. I didn't know I could use Dodge stealth filter. what year of dodge stealth? Any year is fine?
Certainly, the bigger the better .

Certainly, the bigger the better .
You would ask - and I've been using the Stealth filter since I got my'03 new. I think Mitsu quit making the Stealth before 2000. Anywaaaaay, I just look back in the book until I encounter it.
