i was lookinng to purchase the BC cams too but i saw there are different stages for them is that their way of... them being 260's 272' and 280's? i wans getting a little confused.

Yeah Im not sure, all I know is you would think HKS would lower their prices knowing the rep of BC's. Just to add competition......I guess people spend the money.....

If you run 280's on your IX it is recommended you have springs and retainers. The 280 means that you will have more power up top, but lower end torque and so on. I would say go with the 272's for a wider range across the powerband.

Stage 2=272's, Stage 3=280's-which also require springs and retainers.

The 272's work best using anything up to a GT 35r or 60-1 with a stock intake manifold and TB. If you have an aftermarket intake manifold, and a GT 35R or larger then the 280's are the way to go.

Also why do people do 264/272 combo and which is which.?
