Replacing the Evo....

I know I had seen a few Evo owners up here get rid of their beloved cars and either upgraded to a new Evo or for something "better". I'd like to know if they were happy for the trade or did they regret it. I'm thinking about selling my 2003 Evo VIII and getting a 2008 BMW 535i. I want luxury as well as performance. Does anybody think this is a terrible trade? I don't. I'm just trying to put some feelers out there....

Depends on what you are looking for I guess. I just traded out of my E36 supercharged M3 into an Evo. I didn't care so much about the straighline performance (they are both about even) but the handling of the Evo has spoiled me on almost any other car. I have seen the new Evos, taken a ride in a new STI (which was very nice) but I will take the rawness of my Evo any day over another car right now.

I'm kinda in the same boat, except i'm leaning towards a e46 m3, or a e92 335i (e92 m3 is outta my league haha)

The 535 is certainly a capable car. Do whatever makes you happy. I'm interested in looking at the 135 Tii when it comes out.

Went with the Porsche, never looked back... The ONLY two times I feel much regret is spending time on this thread seeing how easy it is to mod the Evo... Which I knew, so whatever. And trying to wave at Evo owners and getting laughed at or looked at weird. Otherwise, can't beat a good mix of luxury + performance. I regret not living in a warmer state and buying a C6 or a 335i more than getting rid of the Evo

And the fact that I need to buy a ski rack, but that can wait till next year since this year I just bummed rides off of friends.
