ok find the best deal on an evo of your choice with low miles and light mods. and drive it like that till you can afford to tear it down and make it a toy.

evo is a bad car to own if you can't stand resist the urge to modify it.

be smart, invest for your future, and get something cheap and reliable for now, plus your liquid (don't waste 30k on a car, seriously).

I'm 18 and i absolutely love this car. I will never go away get away from an evo. I would buy a IX put 10k in it then throw the rest in saving bonds. F*ck saving accounts. Saving accounts interest are like .04%. Don't listen to these other ppl that are saying throw it in a savings account and watch it grow it will grow 1 cent a month, go BONDS

Put all the money in the bank, have your parents co-sign and you make payments to build your credit, try and get a stock car so you can keep the warranty, until it's paid off.

Keep in mind an evo has an expensive upkeep. 1k for tires and they last 20k miles at best...brakes...clutch all that cost money. Take the money you have and invest it. Once you get out of college get a house. The returns that you will get on owning a house will be about as much as making the payments on an evo. Especially being a first time buyer. So basically you can have both. Being single and living at home the government will screw you everytime for taxes. When you move out and own your own house they screw you a little less. I know here in MD they have a program where you get all the interest you pay on the house back after a year. I'd look into it if I were you. Your parents could probably help you out with it as well. Hope this helps

what is your financial status like? you're in school... do you have a full time job too?
last thing you want to do is spend alot of money when you have no career or stable income. even though this is 60k of "free money" don't let go of what really matters most- your future.

now if you're making at least 60k and getting this settlement i would think then buying an evo would be ok
