You guys really wanna know what happend
Set my 2 step to 7000rpm because It was bogging out at 6700rpm went to launch half way of letting the clutch out I heard a snap.
The result of launching a 700awhp evo with a so called up graded transfercase after taking it apart found out the transfercase was stock and not up graded to my surprise after paying a shop 1700 bucks and no it wasnt AMS that did it

Sharkbite,
We have not had the pleasure of meeting yet, but I hope to join you and Manny at the track this weekend. With such a high HP car, you really need to find a way to preload the drivetrain if you are not doing it already. Remember how many t cases and trannies that Ricky broke before he started using the e brake? Personally I would rather be stuck at a 1.7 60 foot and leave the old fashioned way w/o a 2 step. 2 step and anti lag work too good IMHO for the casual racer. The car hooks so hard that something has to give. In your case it was the T-case. I am not setting any records, but I also have not broken any parts either. I guess it is all about your goals. I prefer consistant mid 11's and no broken parts. Hope to see you Sunday. Any chance that you are going to E -town Friday night?

We going to Island you cant run at E-town ,3 passes is not enough for a crack head like me
It broke because I paid to upgraded my transfercase and I thought It was to my surprise it was stock they took my money and didn't do the work, and I did use the E-brake to load it up and I only let the clutch go half way when this happend didn't fully let it go.
How many guys have launched a 700awhp on a stock transfercase

If I had 700awhp I would I just look at it as finding the weak points. Of course that's if you know you have a stock TC. I'd be as pissed as I'm sure you are if I paid for a built TC & nothing was done. It sucks that there are people out there who would do that.

well my mods are in my sig. just a little notes. its a 9.8 hotside and i wanted to see what these bolt ons would do before i: 1) install the s1 cams, 2) tune the car.
its a jdm evo VII so it comes mapped to 98 octane. but in Trinidad we have 95 octane so the only tuning i did was lower the ignition timing so it wouldn't knock on our gas.
the fuel map is untouched and it runs to a 10:1 ratio from about 6k rpm.
so now the results:
274whp/250wtq on a dynojet.
i would love to know what u guys think about it.
i'm thinkin that my next move is a 10.5 hotside and a 3" o2 housing
should get the cams and install them in about 2 weeks so i'll be back to the dyno and i'll be back here to give u the results of just bolting in the cams(untuned)

Before I went back to STU-spec
'03 VIII
HKS Hi Power Exhaust
XS engineering DP
Test pipe
Walbro 255
Evo IX MR DV
Forge UNOS MBC @ 19psi (DynoJet boost reads high)
stock airbox and filter
tuned by Cameron Dawes
leaving the facility, I found out I had a bad boost leak when the car got hot, so it wasn't there for the beginning of the session but probably the end.
