websites?
im new to the evo world and i want to start looking at aftermarket options to help me decide between a evo and a cobra for my next car. the cobra 32 valve engines respond very well to mods and i was wondering if evos are the same way?(my overrated 16 valve gt engine doesnt respond well to bolt ons)
are there any websites you guys would recommend for me to start looking at aftermarket options that might help me a better understand the evolution platform?
thanks guys

a turbo car will respond better to mods then a non turbo car. Have you driven both cars? in my mind it would really come down to turbo or no and awd vs. rwd.
as for websites, check you ams, ets, and gsc's websites they are all sponcers here and are the best and what they do!

Well for about $1000 invested in an Evo IX with carefully chosen mods, you could get around 330 WHP.
TBE $600
MBC $100
Tune $300
^^^ You can get ebay and used stuff that works just as well.
For $2500 total, I think 400 WHP is possible.
20G Green Turbo

Im partial to the evo obviously, but if you really like the mustang just turbo it. Both cars have huge communities.
With any FI mod on a Cobra you will make more power than an evo in most cases. On the other hand if you like to "drive" your car pick the evo hands down.
Go drive both of them.
**Sarcasim** - if you end up with the cobra be sure you get one of those cool ford racing jackets and i believe the mustang owners manual has a section on how to act like your car is the best invention ever made.

thanks for all the sites guys.
yeah i have an 04 gt for me to go forced induction (which i wouldnt on a gt) id need forged internals thats $2000 and then $5000 for a KB and more for turbos. then id have problems hooking up, supporting mods, transmission, tune and so fourth...
with a cobra after a certain point it just becomes a dyno queen and still cant corner although it would be sick in a straight line from a roll and look amazing.
where as an evo i could drive when ever, save money on gas, 4 doors, alot more rare than a mustang, and would hear the lovely sound of a bov

if you want handling, and a car that will whoop anyone on the street(awd launch) get the evo.
if its a the 03 cobra, or whatever the supercharged one... and you like freeway pulls, and or drag racing, get that. with BPU you can run 11's. SICK car, not good in bad weather, takes more skill to drive, but the rewards can be great.
evo is easy, safe, fun, like a gokart compared to the cobra.
cobra is savage(talking the supercharged 1) takes time to master it.
