Air Intake 'Cover' Removal?
For more air intake, thus potential HP gain. What if you drop a high flow air filter and remove the Air intake COVER and use bungee cords to secure.
1) Gain?
2) What about the heat?
3) Has anyone tried it?
Your comments is appreciated. I guess it's a poorman air intake.

You can just cut a square shaped hole in your factory airfilter cover with a Dremel disc. This accomplishes the same thing as the expensive, blingy, Blitz cover.

Haha yes I guess this idea would probably work however i went ahead and spent the extra few bucks instead of displaying such fine dremel craftsmanship every time i open my hood

just drop in the filter and ur good to go. Dont bother trying to remove this or that.
You can go w/ a conical filter, I have the agency power set up and my snorkel is till intact. I like it but dont' expect a big power gain from it just more noise.
Bottom line is; in the end its your car do what you like.
