The 3rd vid in my link has my old one whining away. That was just at idle. After a spirited drive it was insane. Never heard a louder one on an Evo.

You could always get the x2 Walbro bracket and stick 2 IX pumps in. Or better yet, 2 X pumps. I hear those outflow the IX. If you have backseats installed just try putting a layer of dynomat dirrectly over the pump access panel under the seats?

There is a foamlike material that comes with some pumps that is wrapped around the pump to deaden the noise but I don't know where to get it by itself. Obviously you can't just use any old foam or sound deadening material. It has to be able to withstand gasoline (duh). Maybe someone else can chime in if they have any clue where to buy it. I have installed many pumps on other vehicles that came with this stuff. It was like a sleeve that slid over the pump and you just used a zip tie to secure it on. It absorbs the vibration of the pump so it dosen't resonate in the tank (whine).
