I got my recall notice today!!!
Just got my recall notice from Mitsubishi in the mail today. It's about the water in the oxygen sensor thing. They worry it may cause corrosion in the wiring connector, throw a CEL, and affect emissions...it's all about the emissions, isn't it?
Oh, well...I'll have them look at it when I bring my Evo in for my first free oil change...

Okay, for those who is interested in what the recall is all about, this is more info.
To perform such recall it can take as little as 1 hour to as long as over 10 hours. First hour is basically check if there's any corrosion and put the seal a few places under the car. I am lucky and there's no corrosion found on the car so sealing is the only thing to do.
I extract some info from the recall bulletin and posted it below.
By the way, the guys at El Cerrito (Randy and Carlos) are pretty cool, and it worth me driving over 45 min to have the car service there even there're over 3 dealers closer to me than them. So if you're around that area, don't forget to check them out! Oh, it'd be great if you can tell them that you're referred by me or this forum... (don't get me wrong, I do not have commission from them)

Here's the info extract from the Emission Recall Bulletin:
Recall number is C0303H - Wiring Harness Corrosion (extract from the Emission recall bulletin)
Purpose:
Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc (MMNA) is recalling certain 2003 Lancer Evolution vehicles for possible electrical corrosion in the rear oxygen sensor harness. This condition could cause the sensor to malfunction, set a diagnostic trouble code and illuminate the MIL. The environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) have been notified about this recall.
Affected Vechicles:
2003 Lancer Evolution vehicles produced between 8/20/02 - 4/11/03
Symptom/Condition:
Water may enter the floorboard from body seal openings at the side sill and/or bulkhead. This water may cause electrical corrosion to occur in the heated rear oxygen sensor harness.
Remedy:
Inpect for water leakage at the side sills and bulkhead and apply sealant if needed. Also inspect the heated rear oxygen sensor connector for signs of electrical corrosion. If necessary, install a subharness and replace the sensor.
PM me if you want to get this 12 pages pdf file, I tried to upload the file but was told it's too big (772k).
