Can be done tested at nearly any machine shop just going to have to find one local to you.

possibilities?:

during compression test-
a - air coming out the intake, could be the intake valves
b - air coming out of exhaust, could be the exhaust valves
c - air coming out of pcv valve, could be the rings

Just some thoughts, I'm not a certified mechanic, but I agree that there could be more to this than just the rings.

I woulod do a cylinder leak down test to determine the actual cause. If it were the rings Im surprised the wet test you did, didnt show a higher reading. Leak downs dont lie.

If the tune was too lean you caould have burned an exhaust valve to due to elevated EGTS. Just food for thought.

definitely don't assume its the ring yet mate

Leak down test says all for the rings like Whitey4d says.

okay so i got a leakdown test done today and it showed my #2 clylinder was leaking about 20% which my mechanic said was not too bad. Could only hear the air inside the valve cover when the oil fill cap was removed. Was he right? Is this nothing i need to worry about right now?

Did you pop the piping off the intake and feel for air?

And while you where there did you check air escaping out of the exhaust?

And yes he is right 20% is when the cylinder is in "pretty good" condition.

Break Down:

5-10% GREAT condition
20% Good condition
30+% Seek help

That sucks bro. Get it sorted out and get rid of the cobb stuff asap. Even on Sti's they are useless although cheap for what they have to offer.
