Exclamation Autometer question!!!

hey all,
i just installed a USED autometer sport comp boost gauge on my evo...and when the car is off it reads 4psi...when i turn the car on its at -10psi...is it broken? if so can i fix it? if not ill buy another one...please input some helpful information! tia!

Really messed up at that. Get a new one. They aren't very expensive. Mine was about $50 or so at Autozone. They special ordered the Z-series to match the black interior. I'll take a pic sometime. Your idle btw should be between -15 to -20 in hg. Full boost, 18-19 psi. Autometers can be off by 0.5-1 psi, but yours is off by a LOT.

yeah bro same thing with my old, old, old, very old one. just throw that one away and get another one. it should read 0 when the car is off.

same thing with mine, i posted about it like a week ago.

mine reads 5inHg when the car is off. when its on it reads 20inHg which is correct. but its wrong with the boost i guess. i can hear my turbo spooling a good bit and it still shows its in vac, plus im boosting 21psi and it only goes to 17psi. so mines broke too, but i was told to call the company and maybe they'll replace it idk

actually on the other hand idk what the hells wrong with it, cuz i turned the boost all the way down and it still read 11-12 psi which it should so idk wats up......... except that its def broke

thanks people! i was thinkin i had a boostleak somewhere...but ill get rid of it and get another one!

im on my fourth one so far. Longest i had one was 6 months before it screwed up. very cheap to replace though.

Had the same boost gauge...Went bad after only a couple months of use...crap imo
