Cool Ready For Next Big Mod!!!!

So i bought my evo VIII with a lot of mods done to it already, the car is in excellent shape and drives like a champ. When i first got it, it was the most exhilarating ride...but over the past few months i have felt that need to find more power and i wanted the advice of people who really know what they are talking about. I've decided to "go big or go home" and want to know what would be the best bang for my dollar as far as an increase in power between these 3 options....either build the bottom end, head work, or a stroker kit. Any advice would be awesome! Thank You

List of Previous mods: Apr head studs, HKS 272 cams, Supertech valve springs and retainers, T3/T67 T350 turbo, exhaust, intake, Innovative LC1 XD1 wideband, and upgraded fuel system with 1000cc injectors, APS front mount intercooler, exedy twin disc clutch

I'd say you go 2.3 stroker. I have driven a VIII completely stock the only mod was a 2.3 and the car felt like a monster and I've seen tremendous gains with a 2.3.

It really depends on what's your goal as to how much HP you want to attained and how much you have to spend it on your monster Evo.

What do you mean by upgraded is it just the injectors or a dual pump setup, fuel cell with ex. pump.

Seeing you got a pt67 what turbo kit is it or is it made or what.

This is what i would do. In your case i would do the motor and have the head sent out for porting. Depending on what your doing with the car i would base your motor build on that 2.0L,2.1L,2.2L, 2.3L and 2.4L like i said depends on what you use the car for.

Since you already have springs if there dual your set if there single then make sure you dont rev past 8000-8500rpm. So that means all you have to do is send your head out for porting and reassembly and the cost on that should be $500 for a full out race port. Add a few bills if you want to go with a 1mm over setup which i would assume you will.

Race block depending on what you get will be around $3000-4900 depending on the state of the block.

I could go on and on any questions feel free to drop me a pm.

Is this a street car?

If I were you, I'd be looking at stroker kits like everyone else is mentioning. Some guys go really big on the turbo such as GT35R on a 2.0 litre and then complain about how it isn't as fun on the street as the stock turbo. A stroker kit will add boohoodles of torque and make the spool rate significantly lower, even if you do decide to go to a top end turbo.

Anyone have a 2.3L with a twin scroll 30R? Spool rate at what...2500 RPMs? That'd be a crazy auto-x setup.
