VISHNU and WORKS idea
#16
Here's the problem. If the WORKS reflash is not the one that the testcar picks at the end then raffling off the ECU reflash is a no good to anyone else because of the Immobilizer.
Also, in another thred someone said they were going to release the A/F ratios for the WORKS reflash. That's what really concerns me. I'm pretty sure that I would like to upgrade further than just the reflash, so the Vishnu stages look a little more appealing because of the ability to download new maps to the XEDE. One free reflash will not do it for me.
Also, the ability to toggle between two maps is a nice feature of the XEDE (91 or 93 map, 93 and 100+ map, 93 and Valet map).
In the end it's an interesting comparison but after further thought I don't think the reflash is the route I want to take.
Now if we did an exhaust comparison then this plan would work much better but the WORKS reflash vs. XEDE are two different paths IMO.

This sounds like a real good idea to me. One suggestion would it be possible to maybe test both of the systems with their respective exhaust system installed? Cause if im not mistaken this is probably the upgrade path that all if not most of us will be taking anyway. I realize that it is limited by how much money gets thrown in the pot. Just a suggestion.
P.S. I think the testing in Cali would be the optimal route to go

I am willing to donate $$ to make a more informed upgrade path decision.
I also like the idea of an exhaust system comparison which is still too cloudy in my opinion - some people say they are all the same, and then you read claims to the contrary. Same for the intakes.

I would like to just put on file that I would donate or volunteer. I live in Oklahoma (center of U.S.), 3 hours from Dallas. We have 93 Octane. Car is completely stock. Let me know.
