I really , REALLY love my evo !

I only have like 10 min. to write this little story about my evo, even though I could take my time and write a full essay.

My weekend started off with my cousin turning 21 friday night and us two , along with 8 of our buddies hitting up the gorgeous city of Chicago with one hell of a night filled with patron shots and a bad *** limo driver (JIMBO). We hit up 6 of the finest bars and drank enough liquor and spent enough money to make the ppl on the streets think we were part of some crazy entourage. haha In short...it was a BLAST!

I woke up @ 830am (even though i THINK we crashed out around 530am!) with the biggest hang over i have ever felt in my life. After lounging around all day and trying to find d*mn helmet for GDL's grand opening on sunday, I finally got out of bed @ 1am (sunday morning) and decided to check out a new spot of "street racing" (please no flaming. I didn't race. Just watched) It was pretty fun considering the fact that I haven't seen a good street race in about 2 years. Some cocky a** kid in a white "built" STI was spanking anything that came in sight. He even called me out like 4-5 times trying to get me to run. I told him to save it for the track but obviously that wasn't going to happen. Story cut short: I ended up leaving the races around 2am to get lost in the freakin city and didn't end up getting home and to sleep until 415am sunday morning.

THIS IS WHERE ME LOVING MY EVO SOOO MUCH COMES INTO PLAY! lol

I woke up at 8am the next day, met up with my cousin and his 400whp 240sx and my buddy charlie (TOP SETUP) and his sick k-powered civic hatch. We got to GLD @ 10 o'clock on the dot. WITH A TOTAL OF ABOUT 7 HOURS OF SLEEP, I was a walking zombie. I mean i felt like complete SH** !!! I was hopped up on coffee, red bulls, and those 6 hour energy drinks all weekend. That def. helped but i was a tired, bloodshot eyed, shaking mess. BUT....once i strapped on my helmet and staged the evo.....all tired-ness was gone !!!!!!!

First run....staged......hit 2-step........BOGGGGGG!!!! 13.2 ; ( 2.20 60ft

Second run.....staged.,.... 2-step..... out the hole like a bat outta hell! 12.6 ! @ 110 with a 1.79 60 ft

Third run a little better with a 12.54 @ 110 with another 1.7 60ft.

by this time i thought i couldn't do much better so i parked the car and watched some runs. then me and my cousin agreed we'd run one more time. with our cars parked and cooled for about an hour we made our last runs....

STAGED......(up against brand new BMW 330 twin turbo chipped).....2-step.....GONE! best run of the day and i couldn't have been happier

1.73 - 60ft

12.405- 1/4

@ 111.55 mph !

this is with mods in my sig. just bolt-ons stock 9.8 turbo at 22psi and 93oct. Big props to Kunal aka Kuniiizzzeee for giving my car an awesome tune just prior to hitting the track. He really knows his stuff.

so again, i'm just amazed as to what our evo's can do with just some simple bolt-on power and decent driving. I think i was the fastest evo there that day besides another silver wingless evo who ran a 12.49. Next up megan mani. and megan o2 housing and meth. Up the boost and hopefully dip into the 11's.

sorry for the long newbie story but I just wanted to share how much i love my car and I can't wait to go back to the track when i get some new parts

Nice 60' improvement! 2.2 is not good at all, but you recovered. I bet you could squeeze some more 1.7s, no problem. Nice runs.

nice....I dabbled in some runs on an abandoned air-strip over the weekend with a buddy in his lightly modded C5 Z06 and another buddy in a lightly modded E36 M3...taking a Z06 off the line EVERY TIME is a great feeling...

nice times, man, congrats. But damn, the whole setup story had nothing to do with the ending, haha. I was expecting you to find the white STi at the track or something and beat race em. Good story anyway.

Good write up haha. Nice job not racing the STI, you made the right choice, and also, good times.

I'm glad I am not the only one that does that once in a while.
