No doubt the M5 will haul *** around a road course... but I don't think it'll hold up. I.E. you'll get brake fade and cooling issues (water and oil). There's no getting around it, the M5 is a big and relatively heavy car.

The stock Evo brakes have proven to hold up to extensive road course use and we also have an oil cooler stock. I haven't heard of any cooling issues either.

this thread should be closed - once you have test driven an evo, let alone ridden in one, there would be no question but to own one first chance you get!!!

I have been in the M5 before but never driven, I have never been in an Evo but I hear great things the only other choice I had was an 04 Terminator Cobra, but I don't know, I guess I will just have to test drive them.

Even with stiff suspension you have no idea how much different an evo is. Like everyone said unless you drive them both you wont know.

The Evo will get you to the finish line with your hair all spiked up. The M5 will get you there with you hair all wavy and stuff.

Sink About 3 K Into An Evo And Your ***** Will Be On Fire :-)

It's A Flat Out Race Car That Goes Fast No Matter Where You Want To Put It.

Running High 12's Stock In Drag, Quick Around Road Courses Big Trunk, Good On Gas And You Can Mod To The Sky....

I Drove Around In A 500 Whp Evo For 2 Years And Had 0 Problems And I Loved Every Second Of It.

If you just want a car with hp and you don't plan to do any mods than get the M5.If you plan on making the car faster get an EVO.I looked at some M5's before I got the EVO.I wasn't about to pay 40K for a car that had 40K on it.Im glad I got the EVO.
