If you wear name brand stuff with logos and are into material things, go with the BigMoneyWaste, lol.
Oh, what is the difference between a porcupine and a BMW?

I strongly considered one before I found my IX RS with 5k miles for $25k.

I forgot where I read it but the M5s have been plagued by engine block/oil leak problems. Not only are they expensive to maintain but to repair is worse, expecially if your looking to rebuild the motor.

IMO, the two cars as so different, it should be fairly easy to compare their differences with what you personally would rather have in a car, and then call it a day. One's as close a a 4-door sportbike as you'll prolly get, and the other is a smooth-riding luxo-touring sedan. Don't know anybody that has an M5 track car, but also don't think you'd need to wear a kidney belt if you were to drive an M5 from LA to Vegas.

I think its obvious if you're looking for creature comforts and the "class" of owning a bimmer than by all means get the BMW. However ... if you want fun IMHO ... get the EVO. I've driven everything from high hp RWD's to luxury comfort sedans, and of course now an EVO. The EVO has been by far the most fun. Not an expert by any means, but my butt dyno is happy.
