you have to ask yourself what you personally enjoy, my personal opinion I like a car that serves me, shines when I need it most. I had a beemer, luxury-wise its great but excitement tends to disappear over time, not to mention overpriced service visits ( to the power of 2 for Ms)

My dad has a 2002 M5, they are sweet, but its always in the shop. You should prob just get the evo with a warranty

The only problem with getting an evo warrantied is that it is pain in the A$$.If you car is modded you have to hope the dealer won't care about your mods.Or you have to bring it in stock form or damn near it.

damn thats a hard decision. The E39 M5 is such a beautiful car inside and out, truely a work of art. but it does lean more on the family side of things, where-as the Evo is definately a little more on the sports side of the house...
