Need help with megan racing catback...

Just bought a megan racing 3" catback with the assumption that it would fit with stock cat, didnt see anything that said otherwise. Tries putting it on and it is not working, not only am i having a hard time getting onto cat but the rest of the system does not line up properly, one pipe hits the gas tank and the tip hits the bumper and I dont see a way to adjust this. Anyone else have these problems?? Oh and I dont plan on removing the cat so if this wont work with the stock cat Ill have to sell and get something else.

Thanks.

I dont see how I could have the pipes on wrong, only one pipe has a bung for the o2 sensor.

I think you need to hand tighten everything and work your way from front-to-back...

That's how I did it. I ran my car for a week with just the Megan catback with stock cat and no problems getting it on. I did have to drill one of the flanges connecting to the cat a little bit so the stock bolts (they're bigger than the ones Megan gives you) would fit. Now I have a test pipe installed, I used Megan's bolts. Might want to check to make sure the midpipe is facing the right way. There'll be an O2 bung on the catside facing outwards on the passenger side of the car.

Get a friend to help you. Bolt the midpipe to the muffler section (finger tight) and then lift, and attach to the cat. Now support the exhaust and bolt the hangers back on. Might have to grease the ones that didn't bolt off.

Well, my 3" DP and Cat delete don't fit perfectly either. I had to buy a flange adapter to put in the middle. I think it has to do with the exhaust that you bought. Good luck.

My exhaust does not have hangers like the one posted above, it has tabs with holes in it. As for the installation, I was doing this by myself so I installed in 3 pieces had everything loose until it was all there and then started tightening and even with everything fairly loose it wasnt lining up at all. I also had an issue with the cat like someone else said above but got that taken care of.
