A wideband uses a sensor which sends readings based on a 0-5v signal and a narrowband uses a sensor which uses a 0-1v signal. The 0-5v is much more accurate and the only one that should be used for tuning. Don't waste your money on the narrowband "lightshow". It is too inaccurate to trust your engines life on.

If you are going to spend the money on a device that measures your AFR why not purchase one that will give you the safest and most accurate readings; i.e. a wideband.
