Anyone Have Oil Light Flickering?

Just wondering if anyone has seen the oil pressure warning light flicker, at idle, after hard driving. I had it happen once, oil level was fine, flickering was gone after I restarted. I'd like to know if its typical or if the sensor needs replacing.

Check the oil pressure sensor on the oil filter housing for any corrosion. I had this happen to me. Oil light would come on and either stay on or flicker at idle. As soon as you raise the rpm's off idle the light goes out. My sensor connector was corroded and I replaced it along with the sensor. Purchased it from Mitsu for like $26. Repaired issue. GL

I have the same thing happening after hard driving. Do your rpms drop down almost like the car wants to stall?

If you change it and the light still flickers then obviously its not the sensor.. if your oil level was good, you replaced the sensor.. your light is telling the truth.. then take it in..
