Fuel Problem? Any info or help please

Hey everyone,

Ever since a few weeks ago, my car has been acting up when I drive it on the highway. I drive on the highway a lot, and on my way back up to school, it started "bogging out." It is hard to explain but i'll try my best. Since the Evo does not have cruise control, I rest my foot on the pedal where I can maintain my speed without tiring my foot too much. I was keeping it at about 80 the whole drive, and every now and then my car would start to vibrate, not violently, but it would vibrate and bog down. So all I would do is take my foot off the gas, and then apply pressure back on the pedal, and my car would be fine, and the vibration and bogging down would stop. This would happen off and on, throughout the 5 hour drive back up to school. But for the last two hours of the drive, it didn't happen at all... which I thought was strange. Can anyone help point out what is causing this? I am pretty sure its a fuel problem, but I don't know where to start.

Thanks for your help and input,

Best Regards, Tyler

Almost sounds like the dreaded p0300 code. Did you check engine light come on? If so have it checked by autozone or somebody. If it is a P0300, then welcome to the club. sorry to say

What are your mods? Have you checked spark plugs?

Did it feel like you were losing power and slowing slowly or was the car hiccuping and slowing rapidly?

it was just a loss of power, an added vibration, and bogging down. The spark plugs were replaced not too long ago... thanks for the input. keep it coming

My mods are as follows:

Full 3" exhaust
boost controller
20g bushur turbo kit
upgraded injectors
intake
upgraded intercooler
etc.
