the highest reading I've had was about 260F when on track. 185F normal DD

Mobile 1 5w-30 gets dangerously thin when it is hot. I would recommend a 40 or 50 weight oil for hot summers.
now thats top of the line oil...
if there was a place that stocked it close to me, id use it
until then... ill use the next best thing. amsoil

Mine is about 75C. When I took a 2 hour drive up to Steffen's to get my clutch changed, it went up around 110C but I was doing over 100mph most of the time.
