Weird spooling issue after installing T-Bolt clamps
Hey guys,
I just replaced all of my stock IC pipe clamps with T-bolt clamps. I kept having problems with the stock ones blowing off under boost. Now I am noticing that there seems to be a sort of "lag" that wasn't there before. I punch it at 3k rpm's and the turbo gets noisey like normal but it takes it a second before I can feel the torque hit. It wasn't like this before. My boost guage isn't hooked up right now so that is also keeping from diagnosing the problem. If anybody has any suggestions for me I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys

You need to do a boost leak test.
In my experiences with t-bolts they can grip the silicon interconnects in weird ways as they tighten down leading to weird pinches that result in boost leaks. After realizing this is what was happening, I found spraying down the interconnects with soapy water prior to tightening eliminated this problem completely. Might be your problem, or maybe I just have bad luck with t-bolt clamps

A gauge will show you if there is a boost leak if you pressurize the system and have someone watch the gauge to see if the needle falls after you turn off the air compressor. Sorry, just being a PITA
