DNP Manifold

Im thinking about buying a DNP manifold for my Evo 8 and Im wondering is it worth it. I know most people will say just port the stock one and call it a day but I have heard good things about DNP. I know the Megan ones crack and fade, things like that. So is there anyone that has a DNP manifold installed and can give me some personal feedback about it.........Thanks

i had one and i liked it, you wont see much power from putting a manifold on an evo though, i went back to a ported and coated stocker, the twin scroll design of the stock manifold is very efficient for the turbo that its on.

I have one and liked it alot. I've heard that with the tubular SS manis, you'll see more peak HP than say a ported stocker. However, that all depends on the car, mods, etc.

I switched to a ported stoker, only because my car is a DD and we have very cold winters. I've heard some stories about megan manis cracking and got worried that my $600 manifold was going to crack.

If you still want a DNP, I'll sell you mine (about 15-20K on it) for cheap (pm me if interested).

Good luck either way!

I just put the SBR turbo manifold and picked up like 5 whp , but gained like 14tq and this is on an untuned ecu. My machine shop who i had remachine the manifold flange cause it looked alittle warped from the heat of welding. which honestly is no biggy it happens no matter what , but When they looked at the SBR manifold they all said it was a very nice piece of work. The exhaust manifold flange was such a high grade steel that i ruined one of there cutters they use on the milling machine. I only paid 236 shipped for it. normaly they run about 399 plus shipping. Also it blued up very nice after going throw a week of driving and getting it nice and hot.

Well I know that the Megans crack and thats why I wanted to stay far away from them but I heard only good stuff about DNP. So it seems like overall this would be worth it as far as power and torque go? also would it help my spool up time?

I own one on my 2g, I saw a big difference because I have a big turbo on it and it helped spool time. Pesonly I think manifolds are a mod for when you do a big turbo.
