not too shabby the angles were a tad funky at times but over all nice. Too bad that damn sun messed up a few shots.

Not bad for a "music video." Shot placement on the cars during the canyon run was good, but the video quality is horrible. I don’t know if you guys exported it that way or if the cameras are just bad, either way I think its time to get a three chip cam as they have much better quality. Editing? Could be better. Red on black is hard to read, especially with the degraded video quality. And, if your going to edit something "music video" style, you should at least cut things on cue with the music. Tell your cameraman to invest in a tri-pod too, it comes in handy and increases the overall professionalism. Other than that, good job. Music choice could have been better, but that’s just a matter of personal taste.

The quality does diminish when we shrink it for the site. We are using the VUZ camera systems which are no Hollywood cameras. If you are not familiar these cameras are placed throughout the car. We have one on the front, one on the rook, one in the rear window, and one at the driver. The cameras plug into a hub and run through your video camera.

See more here...

You dont have to have a "Hollywood" camera to get good picture quality. The Canon XL1s and Sony VX2000 are good examples of high quality, lower cost cameras. My Canon ZR series is decent quality, extremely cheap, and is small enough to be mounted in the same places as the VUZ. I understand how the VUZ system works, but the cameras shoot very bad video.

Exactly if I did shoot with the XL1 which I will for other stuff then it comes out good. I have spent time working in the industry and know whats up.

I know the quality of the VUZ is not the best, but that is besides the point. The fact of the VUZ is not to make a Motion Picture, but to have these discreet cameras the size of your finger placed throughout the car for gettign video whenever you are just driving.

I appreciate your advice though.

I applaud the idea of VUZ. Ive been trying to set something up like it for a while. There are cameras available, however, that are the same size of VUZ, but take much better quality video. Shows like "Top Gear" and "Best Motoring" use them all the time. I can only imagine cost though.

How about the first song in the canyonrun.mov? It really fit the video very well. I've searched the web desperately from the lyrics and I can't figure out what's the song's name and artist. Any help would be appreciated!

Cool video. I just prefer normal speed and car sounds to edited speed and music when it comes to driving videos. =)
