I'm sure there's more to the story and to that officers background as well. Perhaps it was something continuous and documented. SO yeah, in a odd scenario with everything in your favor maybe its possible to file a complaint about it and actually have a leg to stand on. In this one, maybe he'll get a 'talkin to!'.

You can NOT argue with cops

Last time I get pulled over for making a U-Turn on the Yellow light....

Cop said it was a red light when I was turning...

and when I said it was a yellow light..
Cop told me "Do Not Argue with me..because I'm going to inspect your car and find out all the illegal parts"

I was a little ***** front of that ****cop... I said "No... I won't argue with you, I think I was a blind.."

 

he did say evo that many times, maybe a little more. but your right he wasn't a dick for not giving me a ticket. But he was a dick about how he handled the rest of the situation.
i was driving on a road that had a forest preserve on one side and an interstate on the other. there was no one else at risk. i could understand his approach if i were going 80 in a school zone right when class let out. but i wasn't. he just felt the need to attack me for the car i am driving.

 

I would write a thoughtful well-written letter and send a couple copies by mail to the police station. It's worth it to help change our perception. I hate hearing about stuff like this. I'm no fan of cops.

 

Had a state cop pull me over and compliment my car, telling me how he went to the lot to look at them when they first came to the US. Still gave me a ticket but he was cool about it. Sucks you didn't get THAT kinda cop, hehe.

Send one to the police station and another to your local newspaper as an editorial- people still read news on paper, especially the older people who haven't figured out how to turn on the computer (no offense to anyone). Those people are the ones who can make things happen

stay away from mt. prospect if you have front tint , and no front plate. i got 2 $20 citations. he was a nice guy though, just took his job seriously. BG is fine on the other hand, i'm there all the time.

I guess when i'm in Deerfield next time i'll watch out for the popo even more.

deerfield cop are fine. this took place in niles/park ridge.

 

If you have front tint and no front plate you may also want to avoid any major highways in IL along with just about every burb that doesn't have a significant crime issue.
