Car FAX it.
Make sure you drive it.

Make sure there is no weird tire wear.
Make sure there is no shake in the steering wheel.
Feel out the clutch

Small things to check on to see if someone could have done mods.

The small black clips that hold under side engine cover - I have never removed all of them without some marks etc.

Spark plugs - Compare mileage with color of plugs.

Lastly,

No the reverse swap is easy with the radio. I believe the process is in the How TO section. Just reverse the process obviously.

Make sure the stock gauge goes to 1.2bar ish - Also make sure it is not pegging at 1.5.

Check and be sure that there is a vin stamp on ever body panel (fenders, bumpers, etc) - if there isn't they have been replaced which means it was in an accident. I found this out the hard way but I ended up getting a new IX because of it so it was a win situation.

It's easy. Which is on top now, the radio or the gauges?

You can also check the underside of the car to see if it was lowered.Look at the zero lift kit and see if it is all bashed up and bent. You will be able to tell by scratches or dents on the underside.Look at the engine bay.Check obvious things like the airbox, stock intake pipe, and even the upper intercooler piping.See if the bolts or clips look like they have been taken on and off.Hope this helps.
