Bump for anyone who has this problem...
My car has been doing crazy things because of this and tonight I plan to get to work and actually fix it.
This is a major problem that should be a recall.

Bump: Old but important thread. Head lights, horn, and ignition lights will come on after a rain or sometimes a car wash. Had a ground wire for the wipers replaced several years ago and the dealer mechanic asked me, "Was your car in a flood?" I said no, I bought it brand new. Apparently all the wires were corroded.

Water has probably been getting in there for many years now and I'm just starting to have these issues. Glad to have found this thread. Now time to fix it!

You don't have to take the fender off just the inner fender. I checked mine years ago and slathered a lot of silicon sealant around the harness and rubber grommet to be sure.

Pics and "how to fix" here.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/in...s-how-fix.html

Found this thread the other day. It's between the outer and inner fender. There's a grommet the pops out very easily and then water comes in and soaks the wiring.
