Most people are gonna tell you to save yourself the headache and leave it off. Once you dig into the car and start swapping intercooler piping you risk blowing one off, and trying to fight that sob of an undertray, to get it off on the side of the road sucks a big one.

But....on the forums here, or a new one from the stealership.

Well the tray has pros and cons like virtually everything else. Pros for leaving it on are, reduces lift, channels a minute amount of air to your brakes, shields your underbody. Cons are fluid changes are more difficult due to the tray taking space and when you drop something, it doesn't fall to the ground but instead to the tray...Also, Mitsubishiparts.net is your friend.

I was in the same situation. Half of it was missing, and what was left was mangled. I have no idea how the previous owner did it.

I decided to suck it up and get the Beatrush Undertray. Hopefully it will be here in a few weeks.

The biggest thing I've noticed - and it may be psychological - but it seems like you get more wind noise without it.

I would put it back on. The pros outweigh the cons in this situation.

I currently have mine off as well as I am waiting for my new FMIC. I will probably trim the factory piece before I shell out dough on the Beatrush or Carbing. Something will definately be down there though. A dirty engine bay, increased road noise, and possibly undercarriage damage are not on my list of upgrades.

I'd say get a used one or a beatrush.

Pro's outweigh the con's if you're driving the car as it should be driven.

I have a Beatrush aluminum undertray on mine and I love it!

It made a big difference in high speed stability, and reduced drag by a lot.
