I'm still riding in a stock IX and loving it. All the evos in my area are owned by idiots who put ssqv's and terrible parts with out a tune, with a few exceptions of course. I had one guy on a stock turbo tell me he was probably putting around 500hp to the wheels if not more, and it was an VIII. I never street race them but I'm almost positive I could post better times than any of them.

I'm all stock except for a K&N drop in and will stay that way for at least a little while longer. I want that warranty to stay intact for a while in case I need it. Even if I do mod it, the mods will be limited to springs, CBE and a tune.

Bought new in February of 2004.

76k miles later, still stock under the hood.

Average ~310 miles per tank with a high of 352 in mixed driving.

Still running the original clutch and original spark plugs.

Mine is stock, but it's not going to remain that way for much longer.

I bought this car because of its potential, not its limits.

If you care for your evo you should atleast get a reflash. you are probably on th crappy 91 oct and that means you have lots of knock. Get a reflash and make your engine run safer, more efficient, and enjoy a little more power.

I am keeping it stock because I have faith in Mitsu tune and experience more than other tuners

Suspension I will change to KWs pretty soon.
