my carbon kaminari hood weighs more than the stocker.....

^^^ Its not all about going fast.. Some ppl actually like looking good... I do both.

You can feel the heat come out of the vent on the right side though.

It is there to cool the Turbo..
But I do agree it is pointless to buy a CF to save weight when the aluminum hood is so light. But I think most buy one for looks. Myself I dont like the look , looks to Rice for me, but that my opinion

I agree 100% I don't like the carbon look either.

My gialla hood weighs maybe 35% of our stock hoods (this same style), It's ridiculously light

You cant compare a true JDM piece. To a mass produced copy. Thats why you pay $1200-1800 for a carbon hood they are done with weight and aerodynamics in mind. Vs a copy which is made just for looks.

I hated carbon fiber too... It grows on you. Now I feel its "alright" if tastfully done.

You can always paint your carbon fiber if you don't like the look but still would like to reap the benefits of the weight savings

i think it looks good on black cars but ricey on anything else.
