The VG's are only functional if used in conjunction with the stock 8/9 wing. Most likely the only way to find out is wind tunnel testing.

Car seemed more planted with the VG @ 150 compared to without it.

I agree, and even if the VG did help, the chances of you seeing a difference in fuel economy from it are 0. There are so many other factors to consider that may throw off fuel economy such as the weather, tire pressure, shift point, etc etc that can have a more profound effect on economy. Just one of these factors will easily out perform (or negate) any results made by the VG.

Just my 2 cents

I went from a .98 G to a 1.04 G with Vortex Generator swap only. Buy Now while supplies last.

I think what Jedi Gill is trying to say about the speed is in rural highways, not race tracks. Of course, it would be dangerous to do that kind of speed because it put others in danger. But good info overall. It looks nice too with the VG

you dont really have to be flying at over 80mph to see what it does
if it rains look at the water patterns off the roof to the rear window and then also look at the water as it streams off the wing
its doing something but i doubt something you can feel unless your butt dyno is calibrated for it
it has a reason along with the 3mm lowering of the center of gravity from use of aluminum roof

I was amazed at how much more aggressive it makes the car look. Plus i do notice a difference when i get to around 100, just feels a bit more stable. Its worth the purchase, check out rexpeed.com for a good deal. Also, i bought that lip thing that goes along the back of the wing, which helps a little bit too.

If I see an STI with an Evo vortex gen, im ripping it off!

Thanks for the support.. that's exactly what I meant.. rural Highways.. I'm sure that on the race track it would be more noticeable but honestly.. I doubt a vortex Generator would be on the top of your list if you where serious about tracking your car. If you wanted that kind of serious down force look at what AMS did.. The put that big wing on there and they also don't use the Vortex Generator. So I stand by my remarks..
