Dealer offering to buy my car
#16
Hello guys first post.
Give them the title, but don't sign it. I did this once, everything went smoothly.
A week later they called and told me I forgot to sign the title. "Oops sorry, I'll be right there".

Yah, I did find it strange that a dealer would buy a car from a private owner to resell but evidently dealers here do do that. Carmax also does it as part of their business. I talked to the sale guy again a little later and we agreed to transfer the title at the corporate HQ once they cut me a check.

+1 Def a smart idea. I'm expecting Mitsu to mail me a buy back notice any day now. Everytime I go down there for something its always the same, "Wow you have a very clean SE, do you want to sell it back or trade it for a X?" No thank you on both answers.

Meh, deal fell through. Effing sales manager was trying to haggle down the price again. I guess he figured he got me on the lot that he can muscle me into making a compromise. So I walked away and told them to give me a call when they decide to give me my asking price. Second time I drove there and left with nothing, I think if they do call, I may just tell them to F off!
