Car stuttering between hard shifts

My mods were AMS 3" TBE, Cone filter, MBC, tune

I recently added a AMS FMIC, Ported exhaust manifold, cams and 02 housing and got it re-tuned at AMS yesterday.

It drove fine all the way home (150 miles), but now when i get on it and make a hard shift at 7K+ RPM's it falls on it's face once i get into the next gear, then takes off again. It's now doing this every time in every gear everytime i get on it.

So basically if i floor it in 1st gear, it's fine, i shift into 2nd quickly, floor and it stutter's you hear a faint pop/pop and it takes off again.

Any ideas?

And i feel the stock bov is fluttering more than ever at part throttle (I thought maybe it was leaking??).

This is an 06 Evo with 25K miles if it matters.

I would contact AMS since they are the ones that tuned your car.

I would get ahold of someone at AMS and explain your problem. I am sure they will fix it for you.

It sound like my car before i changed out my sparkplugs. Mine stuttered shifting between 6-7K rpms when getting on it. Other than that it was driving ok. I was using Denso IW-22s for about 25K miles and I replaced them with the same sparkplugs and the car drives fine again. I might also change out my spark plug wires soon.

But definitely call AMS and see what's up. I'm also curious to know what's going on.

I was having the same problem, so I check the spark plugs gaps it was too high.
I reduce the gap the the "miss" went away, occasionally i still get it, so I went and try the copper plugs everyone was talking about, and I was surprised that copper actually perform better than the iridium!! Copper has better conductivity than iridium, check the periodic table.

stock fuel pump, i'll get a hold of ams today. I'm sure AMS will take care of it, it's just that if it's something simple, i don't want to waste a drive back there.

i would get some copper plugs with a smaller gap... your best bet is to log the car.. if its only between shift i doubt its the tune.

Where is the "pop pop" coming from? The front of the car or the back?
