Lol. In my DSM days I had every single potential problem hit me. Tcase lockup, crankwalk, balljoint, trans, etc. I still love those cars and if my wife would let me I'd own one. The Evo is a far more reliable platform, but like any car there comes a risk with modding and driving it hard.

alot of people don't have the expertise to drive these cars. there was a guy in AZ who burned thru his clutch b4 he did his 1st oil change!!! then he built a 700whp car which made it into a mag but it never ran down a track or on a dyno cuz everytime he turned it on it would overheat. the "high HP evo with no track time or timeslips broken back down to stock & sold" seems to b real popular in AZ...

Ouch.
One or two of the local guys have had some issues like that ... one of them being a very responsible driver. I just think that some cars are very very pissed off for one reason or another when they come from the factory, and unfortunatly some of them direct that towards the driver.

the only problems i had with my car are popping off intercooler hoses and oil pressure sensor went up, knock on wood! nothing else happens.
ill be honest tho. If i knew i was going to get this head over heels for my car i wouldnt of got it.
Im scared to drive it hard cuz ill break sumthing or scared to park near sum1 cuz of a door ding...makes me wanna get a POS s-10 and find a new hobby
