To be honest, I'd rather own two Evos (preferrably different models, like my own SE and an additional RS for fun under the radar) than an Evo and an STI. Nothing against the car, I've driven it and don't have much of a desire to put one in my driveway, though an Evo and and STI would still be a killer combo.
There are even first-hand accounts of some posters having watched reportedly bone-stock IX RSs break into the high-12s, though I recall two posters saying that they had seen/driven a bone stock RS to a 12.7-second run. No slips, but they were pretty adamant about it.
